Benefits of Rosemary
Rosemary tea can help lower blood sugar levels. The research on rosemary tea is lacking, but rosemary indicates that carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid can affect blood sugar levels similar to insulin. Several studies have shown these compounds to lower blood sugar levels by increasing glucose absorption by muscle cells. Researchers found that oral rosemary taken twice daily for one month significantly reduced anxiety levels and improved sleep and memory in college students.
Rosemary Sowing and Care Guide
Rosemary seeds germinate slowly, and seedlings grow at a slow pace. Mid-spring is the best time to transplant seedlings outside, but they must be started within 9 to 11 weeks before the last frost. Seed starters should be filled with soilless potting mix. The rosemary seeds do better in loose, light potting mixes that do not contain soil than different plants that grow in rocky or sandy soil.
Three to four seeds should be placed in each cell. Once the seedlings reach the size of pots, they can be transplanted outside. Spread a small amount of standard potting soil over the whole surface of the growing medium to cover the seeds.
After the last anticipated frost, plant the seeds permanently after germinating. An excellent place for them would be in full sun, with abundant soil that is not too wet. It is possible to increase the germination rate of 30cm Rosemary by planting multiple seeds in each cell.
The seeds should not be pressed into the potting medium. They should be placed on top. Choose a location with plenty of sunlight. Rosemary needs a lot of direct sunlight to thrive. The plant should be placed in an area that receives at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight daily.
