Purple thyme is often used in savoury dishes such as braised or roasted meats, vegetables or fish. It can also be used to add flavour and depth to marinades, soups and broths, cocktails and teas. Thyme contains chemicals that may help fight bacterial and fungal infections. It can also help relieve coughs and has antioxidant effects. How to sow and care for Thyme Purple Creeping Herb Seeds 

Thyme vines need a sunny, well-drained location. Seeds can be sown from March to May or from August to September. You can make handling easier by mixing horticultural sand with a small amount of seed. Seeds should be lightly sprinkled on a seed tray with little or no cover. It is best placed in a propagation flask that can be heated or wrapped in a polythene bag and kept at 20°C. Germination should occur within two weeks. When the plant is large enough, transplant to a small pot. To avoid the need for a transplant, thyme can be sewn multiple times on a cork tray. Once the thyme plants have reached a height of about 5 cm, "take care of them" for 34 days and plant them outside when the danger of frost has passed.

It is best to water the seedlings from below and always keep the plants moist to prevent them from getting wet. As a woody perennial, thyme needs to be divided every three years to maintain its fresh vigour after five years. Cuttings can be taken as needed, but replacing them is difficult. When picking, the first year should be picked lightly, but if possible, leave the first year intact and pick the second year.  It is possible to harvest crops all year round, especially the winter-autumn crop is light because the tree cannot grow. Can be picked year-round once formed.
