How to Care & Sow Yellowstone Carrot

Growing carrot Yellowstone from seeds is easy. Before digging carrot Yellowstone seeds, remove any weeds from the soil. Growing carrots in clayey, stony, or chalky soil isn't a good idea. Those types of soil aren't suitable for carrots. Outdoor seed planting takes place between March and July.

Each drill must have a depth of one centimetre and a distance of 25 centimetres between them. Sowing carrot seeds thinly with the drill and gently covering them with soil light does with the drill. 

About 10-20 days are needed for seeds to germinate. Seedlings of carrot Yellowstone need to be thinned when they reach an appropriate size. Generally, carrots do not need additional fertilizer, so mulching is recommended.

Mulching the tops of plants with light-blocking organic materials, such as compost or leaf mould, can prevent them from turning green. During dry weather, maintain moisture in the soil. Maintaining water and nutrients requires controlling weeds.
