Product description

An Overview of Peganum Harmala

Generally known as wild rue, Syrian rue, African rue, Esfand or expand, or harmel, Pegum harmala is a perennial herbaceous plant with woody roots that grow in saline soil in the temperate desert and Mediterranean areas. The use of Syrian rue for osteoarthritis, preventing pregnancy, menstrual pain, and many other conditions is not supported by good scientific evidence, despite some serious safety concerns.

What You Will Love More

  • Ensure that the soil is moist and filtered sunlight is available
  • As a dye, Syrian rue seeds are used to colour rugs
  • The perennial shrub reaches a height of one meter, and the flowers bloom from April to May
  • Syria Rue has a number of medicinal benefits as a herb

Benefits of Peganum Harmala

Syrian rue is usually taken orally in order to stop bleeding, inhibit cancer, control diabetes, treat depression, insomnia, control hypothermia, treat parasites, treat Parkinson's disease, and treat rheumatoid arthritis. Sprouting occurs spontaneously after the seeds have been sown.

How to Sow and Care for Peganum Harmala

The seeds of the Syrian Rue you receive from us will be healthy. Planting Rue Peganum Harmala seeds in the greenhouse late in the spring will yield the best results. Pergamum harmala seeds can reliably germinate when spread thinly over a stable, moist seed mix surface and tamped down.

Maintain a warm environment. If young seeds are crowded, keep them in their place since disturbing them can be fatal. It is important to remember that Syrian Rue needs a well-drained medium that is not too moist. Seeds must be kept in the dark in order to germinate. Temperatures should be around 21 degrees Celsius, or 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Overwatering is not a good idea, especially when the plants are dormant. Spring or early summer is the best time to plant. Syria Rue prefers full sun and well-drained, dry, poor soil. If the roots become too wet, they will go limp and die because the remaining roots cannot withstand evaporation.

In a too rich environment, the plant will become too lush and soft and very susceptible to fungus infection and bug damage. Low-light plants produce thin, flopping growth that blows over easily and dries out quickly during droughts.
