Benefits of Guava
Several health benefits are associated with guavas. The high fibre content of guavas aids healthy bowel movements and prevents constipation. Guavas have high fibre content, providing twelve percent of your daily fibre need. Guavas are rich in Vitamin C, which is essential for maintaining a healthy immune system. Research shows Vitamin C can help shorten the duration of a cold and combat bacteria.
How to sow and care for Guava
Guavas grow best in moist, well-drained soil. Around the end of March is the best time to sow seeds during the spring season. A lot of rain will fall in the spring, which will help water the tiny plants, and in the daytime, the sun will shine enough to provide enough light for the tree. You should poke a hole around 2 to 4 cm in diameter and place your seed in there. Once the seed is in place, fill in the hole around it. You don't want the soil to get compacted after filling the hole. Water your plant babies every two to three days to keep it loose.
Transplant the plants when they have a few leaves. Do not forget to ensure that the area receives at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight every day. Ensure that the spot is in an open area so that the top of the tree won't collide with anything. Water your tree twice or three times each week in the early stages of its life. Once it becomes mature, however, it will need less water, so you only need to water it 2 to 3 times a month. Organic fertilizer should be applied every three months for optimal growth. Until your tree is well-established, this step should not be performed.
