Overview of Herb Tansy
Originally from temperate Europe and Asia, tansy is a perennial, herbaceous flowering plant of Tanacetum. It has been introduced to other world regions, including North America, and has become invasive in some areas. Alkaloids produced by the plant are toxic if consumed in large quantities by humans and livestock.

Benefits of Herb Tansy
Tansy can also be used to treat roundworms and threadworms in children. In addition to treating epileptic seizures, colds, fever, hysteria, gout, kidney problems, and tuberculosis, it can also treat epileptic seizures. Additionally, it is used to kill lice and bacteria, activate sweat, calm nerves, and serve as a stimulant, antioxidant, and tonic.
How to sow and care for Herb Tansy Seeds
Tansy seeds should be sown in the spring after the frost has passed. They should be sown directly into the ground 1 cm deep. Cold stratification is breaking a seed's dormancy to allow it to germinate within 15 to 30 days. If you are planting them in the spring, you can start Tansy seeds indoors as early as eight weeks before the last frost.
Tansy plants can also be planted in the fall, usually accomplished by dividing existing plants and planting the divisions rather than growing them from seeds. So, you can plant them at any time of the year. We recommend, however, that you sow in spring and eight to nine weeks before the last frost.
Tansy must be taken care of while growing. Once seedlings reach 16 cm apart, tansies should be thinned to the same distance.
Tansy plants may develop in the shade or the sun, depending on how much light they receive. Fertile, well-drained soil and areas with no vegetation are ideal for the plant. This plant has even been used internally to kill parasites in humans and animals as a companion plant because it repels pests-the flower of the tansy lasts a long time.
Tansy makes an excellent border plant or edging plant. Once established, Tansy plants require little maintenance. There is no need for you to take care of the plants.
