Plants in the nightshade family Solanaceae include eggplant, aubergine, and brinjal. Solanum melongena's edible fruits are grown around the world. How to sow and care for Purple Eggplant Seeds

Plant Aubergine Purple seeds indoors six to nine weeks before the last frost is expected. Ideally, they should be started indoors and transplanted outdoors once the weather is warm. The seeds should be soaked overnight before germination. Cover the seeds completely with water and let them soak overnight. Once the seeds have been soaked overnight, drain the water. Add a fine-textured growing medium to the seed trays. The best results will come from germinating eggplant seeds in your soilless growing medium of choice. In each seed container, press 2-3 eggplant seeds into the growing medium. Sprinkle water over the seeds or cover them with a layer of soil that is 1cm thick. 

Depending on the temperature, it can take from five days to two weeks for the seeds to germinate. Once your seedlings are about 3 inches tall, you can pot them up into bigger pots. It would be best if your aubergine plants were finished in pots no smaller than four inches. It would help keep potted seedlings indoors until the temperature outside reached at least 25 degrees Celsius. In a garden, eggplants require very high temperatures to thrive and grow. You should plant your eggplants in an area where they will receive more than six hours of direct sunlight per day if possible. A healthy soil is most conducive to eggplant growth. This plant thrives in a growing environment that gives it room to grow. Plant stakes made from bamboo can be used to support it.
