Benefits of Blue Morning Glory Flower
For centuries, the traditional use of their root as a diuretic and expectorant was in Mesoamerica and Asia. Besides making tea from the leaves, herbalists have used it to relieve headaches. In addition, to treat abdominal disorders, fever, headache and bronchitis, this plant is also considered a diuretic, anthelmintic, blood purifier, amenorrhoea, laxative, emphysema and anti-inflammatory.
How to Care And Sow Blue Morning Glory Flower Seeds
Blue Morning Glory seeds can be grown indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost date, but this is not necessary. They can also be grown directly outdoors. The sterilization process will accelerate the germination of water in the seeds, which are extremely tough. Rub them between two pieces of coarse sandpaper for a few seconds and soak them. The seeds should be about 2 inches apart and about 1/4 inch deep. It is recommended to water the seeds again after germination and maintain a moist environment.
Morning Glory grows best in moist, well-drained soil. Even if the vine seems to be struggling, you can always improve the soil later. Your morning glory will benefit if watered 1 inch a week and mulch around the roots to retain moisture. As the plant grows, you can slow down your watering schedule as it begins to establish (and into winter). Although hardy, water spinach can survive in cold or hot temperatures.
